ADISA Conference Insights: Investing in Real Estate, Infrastructure (VIDEO)
There’s no shortage of doubts and uncertainties regarding the direction of the economy and markets as we head into 2024. “As a result, asset allocators have little control over the economy but can build resilient portfolios incorporating alternative investments that may generate better client outcomes,” said Michael Underhill, CIO Capital Innovations, LLC and ADISA President.
At the recent ADISA conference in Las Vegas, Connect Money asked Underhill and other industry leaders if there are any alternative investments, particularly in the real estate or infrastructure sectors, they recommend that could help lessen the importance of the cycle to their portfolios — or even take advantage of the uncertainty.
“Roughly 82% of all institutional investors have intended to and explain that they need additional infrastructure in their portfolio, said Underhill. ”In real estate, “we’ve seen a little bit of reduction in allocations to illiquid real estate.”
