Hull Street Energy Invests in Greenskies
Hull Street Energy, a prominent private equity firm in the energy sector, has made a strategic move toward supporting sustainable energy initiatives by investing in Greenskies Clean Focus.
Connecticut-based Greenskies is focused on the development, construction, financing, ownership and operation of distributed solar photovoltaic (PV) plants. Established in 2009, the company also delivers decarbonization solutions for energy storage and combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) systems, as well as microgrids. So far, it has developed and installed renewable energy plants totaling 314MW across 19 states.
The investment marks a significant milestone for Hull Street Energy, as it widens its influence in critical power infrastructure essential for the decarbonization of the North American energy landscape.
Through collaboration with previous investors, JLC Infrastructure, and Greenskies leadership, employees and stakeholders, the firm plans to develop the Greenskies portfolio, accelerating the growth of behind the meter renewable resources throughout the United States, Hull Street said.
Troutman Pepper acted as legal counsel to Hull Street Energy. DLA Piper LLP and KeyBank acted as legal counsel and financial adviser to JLC Infrastructure, respectively.
