Louisiana Teachers Pension Commits $125M to Two PE Funds
The Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana, which oversees $24 billion in assets, approved two private equity commitments.
Hamilton Lane assisted in the selection of Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners XI ($75 million) and Insight Venture Partners XIII ($50 million).
Hellman & Friedman’s fund focuses on private equity investments across many industries including software, financial services, healthcare, insurance, internet and media, retail and consumer, energy and industrials, and business and information services.
The firm’s previous vintage closed in 2021 with $24 billion in commitments.
Insight Venture Management’s 13th fund will invest in growth-stage software, software-enabled services, and internet businesses. The firm is targeting up to $17 billion that has already attracted capital from the Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System.
The latest private asset allocations follow the addition of $325 million in allocations to private equity and credit funds earlier this year.
