- Gary Nachman was hired by Raymond James as managing director, senior research analyst in the equity research department covering specialty pharmaceuticals, biopharma and biotech. Nachman joins from BMO Capital Markets. He previously held analyst positions at Goldman Sachs, Susquehanna Financial Group, Leerink Swann and Morgan Stanley.
- Nicolò Colombo and Greg Hardiman were appointed managing directors by 17Capital, a financing provider for private equity investors backed by credit-focused Oaktree Capital. Colombo joined 17Capital from Adams Street Partners and was previously at Credit Suisse in their M&A EMEA team. Hardiman was previously at Man Group and Conning.
- Mark Lacana was named managing director and head of business development for Petra Funds Group, an independent private funds administrator. Lacana will spearhead business development strategies, focusing on middle-market private equity and private debt funds.
- Diane Prohaska was hired as chief people officer for The Dak Group, a boutique investment bank focused on serving middle-market companies. Prohaska previously held senior leadership positions at Pernod Ricard, Inbev AB, Takeda USA and Virgin Atlantic.
- David Ligon was added as managing director, capital markets for private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners. Most recently, he served as managing director and capital markets head for EastWest Bank. Previously, Ligon held senior leadership positions in leveraged finance at OneWest Bank, US Bank, Emporia Capital and Union Bank.
- Addition led a $69 million Series D round for Primer Technologies, with participation from the US Innovative Technology Fund. Primer is developing AI-powered data analysis solutions for the US government and commercial customers.
- Top Tier Capital Partners led a $25 million Series C funding round for Paro, an AI-powered marketplace providing finance and accounting solutions to businesses, with participation from previous investors Madrona Venture Group, Revolution Ventures and Sierra Ventures.
- Ultra Capital led a $20 million Series B round for On.Energy, an end-to-end integrator of battery energy storage and an independent power producer. Phalanx Investment Partners also participated.
- Goldman Sachs Asset Management made a $300 million investment in Madhive, an advertising software platform engineered for modern TV advertising, including on streaming platforms.
- Greylock Partners and TPY Capital led a $25 million funding round for Kodem, a software analysis platform that uses runtime intelligence to determine application risk. The company emerged from stealth in connection with the financing.
