Franklin Templeton Taps Alternative Assets Author Tony Davidow to Advance Its Educational Reach
Franklin Templeton has hired alternative investment veteran Tony Davidow as senior alternatives investment strategist at the Franklin Templeton Institute to advance the global investment manager’s educational reach.
Reporting to Franklin chief market strategies and head of the Franklin Templeton Institute Stephen Dover, Davidow will be responsible for developing and delivering the Franklin Templeton Institute’s insights on the role and use of alternative investments.
“With his extensive experience and profile in the industry, Tony is distinctly qualified to help advisors develop a deeper understanding of alternative investments and the role they can have in their portfolios at a time when access to private market investments is expanding,” said Dover.
Davidow has more than three decades’ experience in supporting advisors in alternative investments, having held senior leadership roles with Morgan Stanley, Guggenheim and Schwab.
“With its unparalleled array of alternative investment options, expanded and complemented by its recent acquisitions, Franklin Templeton is an ideal place for me to harness my passion for engaging clients and partners about the role and use of alternative investments,” said Davidow.
Previously, Davidow worked with the Franklin Templeton Academy as a consultant in the development of its Alternatives Education program. He is the author of “Goals-Based Investing: A Visionary Framework for Wealth Management” (McGraw-Hill 2020) and is president and founder of financial advisory firm T. Davidow Consulting, LLC.
Franklin Templeton’s alternative assets under management currently total $257 billion and span a wide range of asset strategies.
